Welcome to the Department of History at Fullerton College. Since the founding of Fullerton College in 1913, students have pursued studies in History. Our historians are dedicated to excellence in teaching, research, and professional service. Our programs offer a broad education in most areas of historical scholarship and train students to acquire skills that are applicable to many careers.
Our courses introduce students to the standards of the historical profession, with its emphasis on empirical pursuit, diligent reference to sources, and ongoing interpretations of the past. We teach students to understand the complexity of the past and its relationship to the present, using the methods of academic research and writing.
